Our organization’s objectives are to provide individuals with disabilities skill development, steps towards self-sufficiency, and financial stability. To create a world where anyone can belong as a valuable member of a community. Making It Green has masterfully designed programs towards employment, housing, transportation, healthy living, recreation, and services to individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. We do this with the assistance of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
The focus of our employment program is to provide employment for individuals with disabilities where they can receive financial compensation while gaining practical experience, job training, and skills as they work with a job coach.
The aim of our housing program is to ensure the availability and stability of homes for individuals with disabilities and their care givers in the community.
The purpose of our transportation program is to meet the specialized needs of individuals with disabilities by bridging the gap that currently exists in public and other transportation options available.
The goal of our healthy living program is threefold, to encourage healthy eating, enable fitness, and ensure overall wellness for individuals with disabilities and their care givers. We encourage healthy eating through nutritional support, food preparation, and home-delivered meals that are clean, nutritious, and tasty. We enable fitness by providing access to trainers and equipment. We ensure overall wellness by providing additional means to purchase or participate in wellness therapies.
The objective of our recreation program is to provide support to participate in activities, events, and travel.
We seek to inspire connection between individuals with disabilities and their community. We connect individuals with disabilities to their community through greater information, accessibility, and independence. We strive to be a gap filling problem solver as additional holes in services for individuals with disabilities and their care givers arise.
